The Human body is made up of several complex organ systems that allow us to live without thinking about the things that would take most of our brain capacity to perform each day like breathing or digesting food. The human body is able to survive with these many unique systems like the respiratory will be discussed in this newsletter to show how to properly keep the total systems working at optimum performance. This will also discuss the ways in which each of the following systems work like digestive, respiratory, circulatory, nervous, muscular, and skeletal systems work and also on how each system correlates with each other. The Human Body
The human body is a delicate thing that gets out of whack like when a computer has a virus it will run slower and possibly crash with the loss of all physical memory. The best way to keep your body running at its best is to eat foods that are in the food pyramid like your meats, vegetables, and grains. This also helps your body get the required vitamins and bacterias that help your digestive system.
You also may eat the sweet things in moderation because you need other sugars that are easier to digest sometimes, their is a such thing as to much good so you shouldn't overeat the healthy choices believing your alright because they fall into the food pyramid categories, there is a such thing as to much good. the body is roughly 60% water, meaning water is an essential so drinking soda, juices, and things like kool-aid are not substitutes for water they only add to the multitudes of unhealthy choices offered today, also juice may seem a healthy choice but its loaded with sugars and excess stuff that is not needed but it is okay to drink in rations, the sugar from juices are very hard on teeth and other things in your body because the bacteria feed off sugar and this sends them a giant helping hand in spreading faster.your body is something that shouldn't be toyed with because it is very fragile and unique, no matter how large and mean you think something is it can be taken down if the insides of it are not working correctly.you ask your physician what vitamins and other necessary nutrients that your body needs and your daily diet is not fulfilling wether its vitamin D or amino acids. These vitamins strengthen your bodies daily functions like fiber it helps the regular functions of the digestive and the excretion of waste from your body. These many things attribute a healthy body so eat healthy and exercise. Digestive System
The digestive systems main organs are the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and the anus. the importance of digesting is so that all the food you eat will have every possible nutrient absorbed into your body for energy and other purposes that the brain deems necessary. Digesting begins in the mouth and ends in the small intestine, digesting is the process of breaking larger food particles into smaller one so that it can be absorbed into the blood stream and delivered all throughout the body system. food just doesn't slide all the way down your body on its own; it moves through a muscle movement called peristalsis meaning that the muscles along some of the organs in your digestive system move and force food particles to other places.
The organs each have specific jobs to follow for instance the mouth is the first part of your body that breaks the food into smaller pieces so that the esophagus is able to move them to the stomach for further digestion.the stomach contains bacteria and acids that further break the solids and the liquids into smaller particles on the molecular level. The small intestine is an essential part of the process because it contains cilia which are like tiny worms poking their heads out of the ground but cilia are able to absorb the nutrients and other vitamins that the stomach didn't already get from the food particles. then the large intestine is for the waste food particles and other stuff that the body didn't absorb.
The digestive system allows the rest of the body to get building materials like for your bones and muscles.it also works with the circulatory system to transport these nutrients and other vitamins to get to the other systems in the body.
Some of the diseases that effect the digestive system are celiac disease which blocks the absorption of nutrients in the small intestine. people with this disease cannot eat gluten or proteins in wheat and rye. Another disease is Crohns disease this affects the GI tract which causes an inflammation in the tract but usually effects the lower regions of the GI tract.when this happens it can result in uncontrollable diarrhea. Respiratory System
The respiratories main organs are your airways being nasal cavities, esophagus's trachea, and the bronchial tubes which are inside of the lungs; the other organs are the lungs both right and left and your diaphragm which is a muscle. The airways allow the air you breath a passageway into which they can be transported to your lungs. The lungs contain the bronchial tubes which contain air sacs that are filled with tiny capillaries that are linked into the bloodstream.the diaphragm is the layer of muscle that allows you to inhale and exale or breath basically.
The way that the respiratory system works is in that it is more related to the circulatory system in that the heart pumps the oxygen poor blood to them. you inhale the outside air and then the air travels through your air ways to your lungs that are now filled with oxygen rich or filled with air .when the blood reaches the lungs that are filled with oygen it transfers it to the bloodstream so that the body can usee the oxygen.
Disease's include asthma and sinutis.asthma inflams the hypersensitive airways and sinutis inflames the sinus cavities. Circulatory System
The circulatory system is the many viens and artieres that carry blood around our body. the main organs or parts are the heart, arteries, viens, and capilaries. the hear isthe pump of the whole system.the viens arteries and capilaries are what the blood travels by which mean that these are all throughout the body. the circulatory system is related to all of the systems in some way or form because it is the transport system of the body. the system transport all of the essentials like the nutrients that your stomach and small intestine have taken from the food or whether the oxygen that your lungs have filtered out. your heart is a seroius pumping machine it can pump 7200litres or 1900 gallons in a single day.the diseases that are most dominate in the ccirculatory system are Aortic aneurysm which is a bulge in the largest artery in the heart the aorta.there is also Arrhythmia which is an irregular heartbeat which sometimes results in a heart attack or seizure. Nervous System
The biggest organ that the nervous system has is the brain or control center of the body. the nervous system operates on an electric signal sytem that has many branches or wires. the other main part of the nervous system is teh spinal cord this is what has all of the ganglia coming off of it to send it to special parts of the body. the spinal cord acts like a reciever and a sender in that it takes the signals from the outside of the body and reports it to the brain and it then take what the brain says to do and tell that ganglia to react.this system reacts on an electric signal because it only takes seconds to react to what the brain tells it to do where as it would take several days if it was hormonal. the nervous system interact closely with the muscle system to control the bodies movement. the nervous system also has the flight or fight response which can help you in a time of extreme need.
Some of the diseases that are related to the nervous system are Alzheimer disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia in western civilization. It affects more women than men, and the clinical course generally lasts approximately five years. The younger the individual is at the onset of the disease, the more severe the deficits for the patient. there is also Parkinson disease (PD) is characterized by a slowing of voluntary movements, bradykinesia, muscular rigidity and tremor at rest. These abnormalities result from a reduction of neurons that make dopamine in the pars compacta of the substantia nigra. Muscular Sytem
The muscular system is a type of tissue and not so much an organ, there are three types of muscles though. the first is called cardiac which impl;ies where it is locaoted and used, the heart.then the second is smooth muscle which is the muscle that organs use in them to move items or nutrient around like in the case of the digestive system.the last one is called the skelatal muscle which helps us control and use our bodies. you have two involuntary muscles which are the cardiac and the smooth the ONLY voluntary muscles are the skelatal muscles.the muscles use chemical energy and then turn it into a mechanical energy to move. you always have two pairs of muscles to do the exact opposite of each other like your bicep and your tricep. the muscles are linked directly into the nervous system so that the brain has direct control over them. Some of the diseases that the muscle system has are Dermatomyositis which is an auto immune disease that can effect any age but more specifically people around the ages of 40 to 60 and children from 5 to 15.there is also muscular dystrophy which is a genetic disorder that makes the muscle fibers easeir to be damaged and harder to repair. Skelatal System
the skelatal system produces blood ells stores minerals and holds our bodies together with bines, joints and thier asociated cartilages. the skelatal system works with the muscle system and the cardio vascular system the muscles use the skeleton to hole and move the joints so that we can move and the red bone marrow makes red blood cells to replace the old burnout ones.the skelaton system contains 206 bones in the adult bone structure.the bone structure actually usually contains 300 bones at birth and the number loses so much because a childs bones havent grown together yet so the child has some free floating bones waiting to be fused together. some diseases are Leukemia which effect the production of red blood cells. It is a kind of cancer in which abnormal white blood cells multiply in an uncontrolled manner.Bursitis a disorder that causes pain in the body's joints. It most commonly affects the shoulder and hip joints. It is caused by an inflammation of the bursa, small fluid-filled bags that act as lubricating surfaces for muscles to move over bones.Osteoporosis
Other System
Endocrine sytem
is the sytem that uses hormones to change the body in some way. hormones are a longer lasting effect but take longer to enact the actual process because hormones take longer in process not as fast as the nervous sytem.the endo crine syte is the main reason for theprocess of puberty, this would also mean the secondary sexual characteristics that change physical appearance in both females and males.
